{"id":4058,"date":"2018-12-05T17:07:59","date_gmt":"2018-12-05T16:07:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/edpcp.ipcms.fr\/?p=4058"},"modified":"2025-09-23T17:07:28","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T16:07:28","slug":"scientific-trainings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edpcp.ipcms.fr\/?p=4058&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Scientific trainings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>During his or her thesis<\/strong>, the doctoral student must complete his or her scientific training by taking <strong>courses in scientific opening<\/strong> which he or she will choose from the range offered by the Doctoral School. These courses are intended to broaden the scope of interest of doctoral students, particularly to help them prepare their post-doctoral thesis.<\/p>\n<p>Each doctoral student is invited to <strong>follow at least one course offered by the ED<\/strong>, preferably during the first two years of the thesis. In order to participate fully, it is recommended that they develop their schedule accordingly. These courses are unique, different each year and open to everyone. If justified, and <strong>with the prior agreement of the director of the ED<\/strong> through the secretary of the ED, the doctoral student can follow one of the three courses requested in the form of a summer school, a workshop or scientific modules in its field of activity. All registration for ED 182 scientific training must be done through the <a href=\"https:\/\/amethis3.unistra.fr\/\">Amethis<\/a> digital platform. If you wish to validate the training you have followed, you will need to apply for a \u00ab\u00a0demande d&rsquo;equivalence\u00a0\u00bb on AMETHIS, enclosing a certificate.<br \/>\nYou will find all the information in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unistra.fr\/fileadmin\/upload\/unistra\/recherche\/formation_doctorale\/formations_transversales\/Manuel_Doctorants.docx\">user manual<\/a> or on AMETHIS (by clicking on the little robot).<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"VIiyi\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"fr\" data-phrase-index=\"3\">To participate in <strong>other training courses<\/strong> (apart from those offered by the ED) the doctoral student must <strong>first and obligatorily submit a request to the ED<\/strong>, <strong>justifying the reasons<\/strong> which lead him to choose this training. <strong>If<\/strong> the director of the ED gives his <strong>consent<\/strong>, the <strong>training<\/strong> can be <strong>validated<\/strong>. The doctoral student must create a request to take into account training hours on Amethis.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE<\/strong> : Conferences, workshops, participation in congresses as well as oral and\/or poster presentations at congresses are not counted as scientific training. The tens of femto- to picosecond timescale is the natural timescale for motion of electrons and atoms.
