Online registration

2025-2026  – DOCTORAL REGISTRATION CAMPAIGN

IMPORTANT: the e-mail addresses used for this application are exclusively addresses @ etu.unistra.fr for doctoral students in re-registration and @ unistra.fr for teachers, teachers-researchers.
A doctoral registration or re-enrollment is done in two stages :

PhD student steps :

==>  1st year registration :  June to 31 October – This deadline ONLY  for 1st registration !
This approach is only valid if the future doctoral student has already contacted a thesis director and holds a French MASTER diploma (attention: a general average of 12/20 at the master is required ), or has already obtained an exemption from this diploma by the doctoral school.
  • Access to the Amethis application for pre-registration: https://amethis3.unistra.fr
  • Connection to the application and filing of the application and supporting documents
  • Validation of the request for transmission of the file to the thesis director, to the director of the Research Unit, to the director of the doctoral school via the application
  • After validation of all the speakers, the doctoral student will be able to make his administrative registration with the dept. of doctoral training.

==> Re-entry to 2nd, 3rd (normally last one), 4th year : June to 15 September  

  • Connection to the application https://amethis3.unistra.fr and deposit the application for re-registration and supporting documents (the username and password are the same as for access to the ENT)
  • Validation of the request for transmission of the file to the thesis director, to the director of the Research Unit, to the ED director, Vice-President Delegate for doctoral training, via the application
  • After validation of all parties, a pass will be registered by the doctoral training department and the doctoral student will be able to complete the full administrative registration online on the university website.

PLEASE NOTE: doctoral students wishing to re-enroll in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and + must have done their individual monitoring committee report (CSI)

2026 campaign: from March to early July.  The  CSI report has to be submitted in the NEW AMETHIS CSI module by one of the CSI member. Deadline : 10 July 2026.

Thesis Director, Research Unit Director :

  • The username and password are the same as for access to the ENT
  • Connection to the application and examination of the application for registration and supporting documents of the doctoral student
  • Validation of the request for transmission of the file by the thesis director, the Research Unit director and the director of the doctoral school, via the application.

 

Access to administrative registrations from June onwards : 

They will take place according to the following schedule:

– 1st PhD enrollment: from June to 31 October

Re-registration is only possible after registration of a pass by the schooling office, after validation of the doctoral school of attachment.

IMPORTANT

– If your thesis defense is scheduled between October 1st and December 31th, 2025, you only need to complete your administrative procedures on https://amethis3.unistra.fr.
– If you have not supported by December 31th, 2025, you will have to settle the full adminsitrative registration by paying the CVEC and tuition fees by end of January 2026.
! ! You will also need to have organized a CSI, which report will have to be submitted by one of the CSI members in the new AMETHIS CSI module for processing. To note : the composition of your CSI will have to be registered/validated ahaed in the CSI module !
