2026 Calendar for the award of Doctoral contracts
Until March 31, 2026 at noon, at the latest : receipt of thesis subjects.
Until April 1st, 2026, at the latest : thesis subjects are put online.
Until May 05, 2026 at noon, deadline: receipt of applications – up to the candidate to upload the application. Only complete applications will be considered.
between May 05 and May 15, 2026. : board meeting, application review.
Before May 18, 2026 : The Doctoral School contact the candidates to audition (only candidates with grades M1 (S1 + S2), M2 (S3) ≥ 12/20 will be auditioned). These must submit a document describing their master internship in the form of a pdf file (2 pages) to the ED secretariat by May 21 noon the very latest.
June 03, 04 and 05, 2026: Auditions of candidates authorised to continue the competition. The auditions will take place face-to-face or by videoconference depending on the health situation.. On the day of the audition, candidates must carry a national identity card or passport. Candidates will make a presentation on their master’s programme (10 minutes) and answer the jury’s questions.
Before mid-June 2026 : Awarding of doctoral contracts by the ED Council.
Applicants are contacted by e-mail at the address they have indicated to the ED, they have 48 hours to inform the ED if they accept – or do not accept – the doctoral contract. After this period, no reply will be considered as a renunciation and the contract will be awarded to the next candidate in the supplementary list.
